Before Using Ativan

Common Uses For Ativan
- For the management of ANXIETY DISORDERS
- For the treatment of DEPRESSION WITH ANXIETY
- For the treatment of INSOMNIA due to anxiety or transient situational stress.
How to Using Ativan
- Use Ativan exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
- Ativan can be taken with or without food, REGARDLESS of meal times. If stomach upset occurs, take with food.
- DO NOT TAKE WITH ANTACIDS; if antacids are required, delay administration by two hours.
- DO NOT EXCEED recommended dosage; excessive use may lead to adverse effects or loss of effectiveness. Do not adjust the dose unless instructed.
- Do not DISCONTINUE Ativan ABRUPTLY if therapy has lasted more than a few weeks. Consult physician.
Ativan Missed Dose
Take Ativan when remembered unless its time for your next dose. No take double doses of Ativan.
Ativan Storage
Keep in original closed container in a dark, cool, and dry place away from children. Discard unneeded medicine.

- Sedation

Ativan Precautions and Warnings
* Ativan is CONTRAINDICATED for use during pregnancy. CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF PREGNANT or intend to become pregnant.
* Ativan may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. DO NOT drive or operate machinery until you become familiar with its effects.
* AVOID concurrent use of alcohol or other CNS depressants as it may intensify the drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness effect of Ativan .
* Because of INTERACTION with other drugs, report the use of any other prescription and nonprescription medicines to your doctor.
